What the group is about



We hold monthly evening meetings in the centre of Manchester. Each month we will bring you the best presenters from the fields of NLP and Emotional Intelligence, to take you through applications that can help you in your business. There will also be opportunities for (voluntary!) networking.

You don't need any previous knowledge of NLP or EI to make your attendance worthwhile, just be interested.

Logistics

When we meet: first Tuesday of each month (except January), 6.30pm (for 7.00) until 9pm.

Where we meet: Manchester Conference Centre, Sackville St, Manchester M1 3BB

What it costs: £20 on the door, £15 when you book in advance. Members get £5 per session discount [join for £20 a year]!

Parking: In the Charles St car park - it's only £2.00 after 4pm (NB don't park on the top 2 floors as these are locked at 8.00pm!).

Directions: Download directions to the Charles St car park and the Conference Centre. NB the directions on the Conference Centre's own web site (via multimap.com) are not as reliable as they could be, especially coming north from the M6!

Clean Language is an unusual way of thinking about thinking. It works with the metaphors which underpin our thoughts (and which can  dictate our actions, often unconsciously). Originally devised as a form of psychotherapy, Clean Language is being used increasingly in business contexts including sales, recruitment and project management as well as executive coaching, team development etc.
 
It's simple to learn and can be highly effective in resolving longstanding issues. Solutions come from the client, so that they fit the situation perfectly.
 
In this session with Judy Rees you will:
• Experience Clean Language, both as coach and client
• Discover the background to the approach and explore its basic principles
• Be introduced to 'Instant Coaching' – a Clean Language framework for facilitating change
• Find out about potential applications of Clean Language in your life and work.

Judy Rees is a former news reporter and media executive who co-owns West London-based Clean Change Company (www.cleanchange.co.uk), the world's largest specialist Clean Language training organisation. She has been instrumental in highlighting many potential applications of Clean Language beyond coaching and therapy and enjoys devising and developing new ways of using the approach and linking people and ideas. She uses Clean with individuals and groups in sales and marketing, interviewing, online networking, and in personal, team and business development. With Wendy Sullivan, she is the author of Clean Language: Revealing Metaphors and Opening Minds, due to be published by Crown House in early November.

About Jeremy Lazarus

Jeremy Lazarus is a Master Trainer of NLP and a high performance executive and sports coach. Prior to becoming a coach, Jeremy spent over 15 years in business as an accountant, finance director, management consultant and corporate treasurer.

In addition to running NLP courses, Jeremy coaches and trains business people and athletes to perform more effectively. His business clients and students range from Blue Chip organisations through to successful entrepreneurs, and his sporting clients range from top amateur athletes to Premiership football clubs.

He regularly speaks at workshops, conferences and seminars, and has appeared on television and live radio several times.
